About
Les Is More 894 soft launched in 2013 and has taken many iterations since.
Les Is More 894 is a disabled woman owned business operating out of the Wilkinsburg neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania specializing in sustainable, handembroidered art, apparel, and accessories.
Leslie, of Les Is More 894, first began embroidering at the age of four, taught by her grandmother on raggedy wash clothes. She took to it immediately, developing a love of fashion, but abandoned the technique until her late teens. Les Is More 894's first iteration was dedicated to making and selling upcycled jewelry out of a need for affordable jewelry that matched Leslie's style that she couldn't find anywhere else. As time went on, Leslie found herself being drawn back to clothing and textile fashion so she began intermingling vintage clothing as one of her product offerings, and before long, her roots finally took center stage and solely embroidery and upcycled fashion has remained.
